Helicopter with 19 people on board crash lands in Russia

"A Russian Mi-8 helicopter made an emergency landing in the northern region of Taimyr," Oksana Gorbunova, a spokeswoman for the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office, told RIA Novosti, Report informs.

According to him, the rescue team flew to the scene to rescue the crew and passengers.

Gorbunova said the helicopter landed near Lake Duronoy. It had 16 passengers and three crew members on board.

According to preliminary reports, no one was injured. The prosecutor's office is checking the implementation of flight safety legislation.
