With the Law on Amnesty signed by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, 1500 participants of the January incidents of this year will be released, Report informs, citing the Kazakh press.
Amnesty also covers military and law enforcement officers who committed crimes during the suppression of riots.
Terrorists, extremists, recidivists, organizers of the riots, and torturers were not pardoned.
