Zelenskyy: World majority wants Russia at second Ukraine summit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that most countries worldwide believe that the second peace conference on Ukraine will not yield significant results if it takes place without Russia's participation, according to Report, which cites Le Figaro.

"A large part of the world today says that Russia should be represented at the second summit; otherwise, we will not achieve important results. Since the entire world wants them to sit at the negotiating table, we cannot be against it," Zelenskyy said.

This statement comes after Zelenskyy's press conference on July 15, where he had already mentioned that Russian representatives should be present at the second Ukraine conference, which is planned for November.

The first Ukraine peace summit took place on June 15-16, 2024, in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, without the participation of the Russian Federation.
