Zelenskyy: Ukraine won't have generation lost due to war

The harsh circumstances of war won't be able to deprive Ukraine of an entire generation, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during the Ukrainian Youth Forum "Free to Dream," the Eastern Europe bureau of Report informs.

"On behalf of our state, I can promise, it seems to me, the most important thing is that Ukraine, despite the harsh circumstances of war, will not have a generation lost because of the war. We will end this war in the way that our Ukraine, our state, our people need, and we will return security to the state and Ukrainian youth," Zelenskyy emphasized.

The president noted that current and future generations will always have the opportunity to realize their talents in Ukraine, feel needed, provide for their families, and educate their children. He added that the state mortgage program provides for a reduction in the down payment to 10% for citizens under 25 years of age.

"This is a really good mortgage program. It provides for 3% per annum for the military, doctors, teachers, law enforcement officers and 7% per annum for other categories," the head of state said.
