If Washington stops supporting Kyiv after the US presidential election, it will be very hard for Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with The Times of India, Report informs.
"Many things depend on US policy. I think it's not a very deep analysis when we say that everything depends on the US election. Many things do, but not everything. When the war in Ukraine began and our nation stood firm, it was without the support of allies, including the US," he said.
He added that it's difficult to say now who becomes the new US president.
Zelenskyy acknowledged that it would be very hard for Ukraine if US policy changes and Washington says they don't support Ukraine.
"But that's if the policy changes completely. Then we'll think about what to do about it, but definitely not now," he said.
The US presidential election will be held on November 5.
