The state authorities of Ukraine function in accordance with the conditions of martial law and exercise their powers in full, Fedir Venislavsky, Special Representative of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, told Report's East European bureau.
He recalled that at 5:30 am Kyiv time, the President of Ukraine held a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) and issued a decree to introduce martial law throughout Ukraine. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the Decree of the President of Ukraine with 300 votes.
"The Armed Forces of Ukraine are repulsing the Russian aggressor. The President of Ukraine constantly addresses the people of Ukraine with information about the real state of affairs. There is no panic among the population," Venislavsky said.
