He noted that a difficult situation has developed on the Belarusian-Polish border. Refugees complained about their health, some have chronic diseases. International packages with medical care and hygiene items are being prepared; work is underway in this area with the UN, UNICEF, the ICRC and other organizations.

On November 8, a group of several thousand refugees from the Middle East came to Belarus at the border with Poland. Polish border guards didn’t allow refugees to enter their territory; a spontaneous camp has been organized on the border, in which about 2,000 people still remain. Most of them seek to apply for asylum in Germany.

Belarus has organized humanitarian aid for refugees: they are supplied with food, medicine, basic necessities and materials for heating.
