White House: Kremlin tries to do politically what it can't accomplish militarily

"What we are seeing in Ukraine is Putin try to do politically and through PR tactics what he can’t accomplish militarily," White House Spokesperson Jen Psaki said on Twitter, according to Report.

She noted that Russia will use these 'referenda' to justify continued military action to their own public.
