WB to allocate $200M to Ukraine every month

The World Bank (WB) will provide Ukraine with about $200 million monthly. They will be used to pay civil servants and teachers, Deputy Finance Minister Roman Yermolychev said, Report informs referring to RBC-Ukraine.

Yermolychev noted that the Finance Ministry is constantly looking for alternative sources of funding for the needs of the country, including to support education.

“Therefore, already now, together with other authorities, we are preparing a joint project with the World Bank called Support for Public Expenditure to Ensure Sustainable Public Administration in Ukraine. The amount of aid announced will be $1.5 billion,” the official said.

The project provides for the reimbursement of state budget expenses incurred when paying civil servants and teachers.
