"Some may think Russia's war against Ukraine is far from the African Union. However, significantly rising food prices have already been felt by the millions of African families, President of Ukraine," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an address to the African Union, Report informs, citing RBC-Ukraine.
He noted that this situation demonstrates how everything in the world is interconnected.
"A war in Europe, that's Russia's attempt to seize our lands, has worsened the food supply everywhere and increased the threat of famine," Zelenskyy said.
