Victory bloc in Moldova demands resignation of interior minister after murder of foreigner

The Moldovan opposition bloc "Victory" demands the resignation of the heads of the police, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Information and Security Service after the murder of a foreigner by a killer in Chisinau, MP from the bloc Marina Tauber wrote on social networks, Report informs referring to local media.

“This case, which shocked the entire country, is an alarming sign and clear evidence that under the power of the ruling Action and Solidarity party, national security has significantly degraded... We consider it extremely necessary that the leadership of the police, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service and other bodies, within the competence of whom this case is pending, immediately resign after their criminal inaction,” she wrote.

On July 10, a masked man on a scooter shot and killed a Turkish citizen on one of the busy streets of Chisinau. It is reported that the victim was part of a criminal group. Police believe the murder may have been related to settling scores between criminal gangs.
