Venezuelan prosecutor seeks arrest warrants for Argentine President Milei, other officials

The Attorney General of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, has given instructions to issue arrest warrants against the president of Argentina, Javier Milei, of his sister Karina, secretary general of the Presidency, and of the minister of security, Patricia Bullrich, Report informs referring to Nova.News.

In the sights of Venezuelan justice, the "theft" of the Emtrasur plane seized in 2022 and handed over to the US in February 2024, and the alleged "violation of human rights" that Buenos Aires would have perpetrated against the Argentine people through cuts in social spending.

Last week, Argentine justice had requested the International Criminal Court (CPI) an arrest warrant against the president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, and other government officials, accused of worsening human rights conditions in the country, especially after the presidential elections in late July.

Latest news
