The US Treasury Department on Thursday expanded its sanctions lists for Russia to include 13 individuals and 21 companies, Report informs, citing TASS that the corresponding statement was posted on the agency's website.
According to the document, sanctions are being imposed against "actors in the Russian technology sector in order to prevent the evasion of unprecedented multilateral sanctions and the purchase of critical Western technologies".
The sanctions list included, among other things, Sertal, Sernia Engineering, Vector Scientific Research Institute, JSC Mikron, and T-Platforms.
The US Treasury announced its readiness to impose sanctions against the aerospace sector, electronics manufacturers, and a number of other sectors of the Russian economy.
