US: Maryland man fatally shot 4 before killing self

Five people were killed, while one injured in three Maryland shootings after a man shot his parents to death, killed two people, and wounded one in a convenience store. He later set fire to his apartment and shot himself, police in Essex said Sunday, Report informs, referring to Fox News.

The first call came just before 7 a.m. Sunday about a shooting at a Royal Farms convenience store in Essex, Md. Police responding found three people shot, two fatally, the department said in a statement late Sunday.

Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and the third person was being treated for a gunshot wound, police said.

About 15 minutes later, police were called to an apartment complex five minutes away for a report of a fire and a person who’d been fatally shot in the complex’s parking lot. Police said the gunshot wound appeared to be self-inflicted, The Baltimore Sun reported.

Detectives said that the suspect, 27-year-old Joshua Green, “left the store and returned home where he set his apartment on fire,” according to the statement. “Police later found him outside his apartment complex deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

Next, cops went to his parent's home and found them shot to death as well.

None of the victims’ names besides Green were immediately released.
