US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has discussed nuclear proliferation in North Korea with colleagues from Japan and South Korea, Report informs citing foreign media.
Following a meeting in Hawaii, Blinken said that all three countries condemn the increase in the number of North Korean missile tests in recent months.
The US, Japan and South Korea are taking a unified approach towards North Korea, which is in the provocation stage, the secretary said.
North Korea on January 30 conducted a test launch of a medium-range ballistic missile Hwasong-12.
This launch was the seventh in a row by North Korea in 2022.
Since 2006, North Korea has been subject to economic and military sanctions by the UN Security Council because of its nuclear program.
