US intelligence obtains genetic data on viruses in Wuhan lab

US intelligence services are analyzing genetic data on viruses studied in the Wuhan Institute of Virology lab, Report informs, citing CNN.

The broadcaster does not have precise information on when and how American intelligence could have accessed this data but does not rule out that this happened through hacking into servers related to research in the Wuhan laboratory. According to the publication, the United States now has information about 22,000 viruses studied in the Wuhan laboratory.

The array of genetic information requires careful analysis to make it possible to draw any specific conclusions. Such work is carried out with the help of supercomputers in the laboratories of the US Department of Energy, the TV company reports.
