"France Unbowed" to propose no-confidence vote against Bayrou government

The left-wing party "France Unbowed" has announced that they will bring a vote of no confidence against the new government led by Prime Minister François Bayrou, the party's parliamentary group leader Mathilde Panot wrote on X, Report informs.

The previous cabinet, headed by Michel Barnier, was forced to resign precisely due to a vote of no confidence.

"MPs will have two options: support and save French President Emmanuel Macron or censure. We have made our choice," she noted.

Macron decided to appoint François Bayrou, the leader of the centrist Democratic Movement party (MoDem), as prime minister of France.
