Ukrainian forces hit 5 Russian fighter jets in Crimea, one completely destroyed

Ukraine has reported the destruction of one Russian fighter jet and damage to four others as a result of Ukrainian drone strikes in Crimea.

Report informs, citing the press release of Ukraine's Security Service, that the targets were struck during a nighttime attack on the military airfield “Saky” in occupied Crimea.

"One Su-30SM fighter jet was completely destroyed, and another was damaged. In addition, three Su-24 bombers were hit by fire," the Ukraine's Security Service said.

It should be noted that the Saky airfield is a key base for Russian aviation operations in the Black Sea.

According to estimates, one Su-30SM aircraft costs between $35 million and $50 million.
