Ukraine to receive new batch of weapons from Italy

Italy will send Ukraine a new batch of weapons by the end of 2022, consisting of armored vehicles, machine guns and ammunition, Report informs via La Repubblica.

Italy has already sent Ukraine several 155-mm artillery mounts. Kyiv wants to increase its artillery stock and also asks for multiple rocket launchers.

Italy this year will increase military spending to 18 billion euros. Last year its defense spending reached 16.8 billion euros. The expenses also cover the future sixth-generation Tempest fighter, being developed jointly by Italy, the UK and Sweden.
