Ukraine's Poltava region suffered massive Russian airstrikes for the first time, said Filip Pronin, the head of the Poltava Oblast Military Administration, Report informs.

According to him, 2 people were killed and 6 were injured as a result of the airstrikes of the Russian army on several districts of the region, including the city of Poltava. 2 of the injured are children.

The civil infrastructure was also seriously damaged. Currently, the attack on the region continues, and air sirens have been activated in neighboring Kyiv and a number of provinces, including Poltava.
