According to Kherson region officials, at least 9 people, including police, medical, and rescue workers, were injured as a result of ongoing attacks in the city today during evacuations from flooded areas, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations, Sergiy Kyslytsya, told journalists after the UN Security Council meeting on June 6, Report informs.
The diplomat also called on Russian officials: “We strongly condemn the shelling of evacuation areas and call on the Russian Federation to stop such attacks and allow evacuation teams to evacuate civilians to safe areas. We also urge the UN, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and other international organizations to send humanitarian missions to the left bank of the Dnipro River to help local residents affected by the flooding.”
