Ukraine, Latvia sign drone cooperation agreement

Ukraine and Latvia have agreed to cooperate in the field of drones under the Drone Deal initiative.

Report informs that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this following a meeting with Latvia's new Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs.

"An important result for our countries is that we signed an agreement on drones. These are concrete steps to strengthen our joint defense and production. It is also important that this is Ukraine's expertise and experience being used to strengthen our partners. This is the kind of systematic cooperation we are building with those who have consistently supported us throughout all the years of Russia's war," he said.

Zelenskyy added that Ukraine is interested in ensuring sufficient protection for every region of Europe against Russian threats.

"I also informed the prime minister about Ukraine's air defense needs. We separately discussed sanctions pressure on Russia, including strengthening sanctions against Russia's shadow fleet," he said.
