UK to kick off pilot project to reduce working days

A pilot project with a four-day working week will be launched in the UK in June this year.

Report says, citing The Times, that up to 20 more companies are expected to join the project, which will initially involve six companies.

Project participants will work 4 days a week for six months without having their salaries cut. Those wishing to participate must register by the end of March.

The project was initiated by New Zealand businessmen last summer in collaboration with the Autonomy Research Center, Oxford and Cambridge Universities, and Boston College.
