Türkiye, Sweden, and NATO reach agreement on NATO expansion 

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg reached an agreement on the NATO expansion, Report informs, citing Turkish media sources.

According to the agreement, the parties will continue to contact both within NATO and with the participation of the ministers of both countries.

Ankara, Brussels, and Stockholm agreed that the fight against terrorism is a long-term process and work in this direction should continue even after the enlargement of NATO.

Sweden should introduce a counter-terrorism plan to Türkiye at the first meeting.

According to the agreement, Stockholm will not support any terrorist organization.

In addition, economic cooperation between Ankara and Stockholm will begin. Restrictions on arms trade between countries will be eased. At the same time, Sweden will support Türkiye’s membership in the European Union (EU).
