Türkiye, Oman plan to increase trade to $5B

Türkiye and Oman aim to increase trade turnover to $5 billion in the near future, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a press conference following talks with Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, who is visiting Türkiye, Report informs.

"To date, our contracting companies have successfully completed projects worth about $7 billion. Today, we also discussed the contribution that our companies can make to Oman's development until 2040. In this regard, I hope there will be concrete results after the Omani delegation meets with representatives of the Turkish business world," said Erdogan.

He also noted that starting from 2025, liquefied gas supplies from Oman to Türkiye will begin in accordance with agreements between Turkish Botas and its Omani counterparts.
