Turkey, Greece agree to hold meetings, NATO says

"As a result of my talks with the leaders of Turkey and Greece, the two countries have agreed to hold technical conferences in NATO to prevent a military confrontation in the Eastern Mediterranean and reduce the risk of events," said NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.

Describing Turkey and Greece as "two important allies", Stoltenberg noted that NATO is a virtual consulting platform for common security issues. He said they would continue to be in close contact with all partners to resolve tensions for solidarity.
