Trump nominates his lawyers to key Justice Department jobs

US President-elect Donald Trump announced that he would nominate Todd Blanche, one of his defense lawyers, to the post of the US deputy attorney general, which is de facto the No. 2 job at the US Department of Justice, Report informs via TASS.

"Todd is an excellent attorney who will be a crucial leader in the Justice Department, fixing what has been a broken System of Justice for far too long," Trump said in a statement.

Another Trump’s lawyer, Emil Bove, will be nominated to be principal associate deputy attorney general. The president-elect will also nominate John Sauer, who argued his successful immunity case before the Supreme Court, for solicitor general.

Earlier, Trump announced that former Republican congressman Matt Gaetz would be his choice for US attorney general.
