Texas authorities transfer over 102,000 people to other American states

Texas authorities have transferred more than 102,000 people to other American states as part of a program to remove illegal immigrants from their territory, said the office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott, Report informs.

More than 12,500 illegal immigrants have been sent to Washington since April 2022, more than 37,500 immigrants have moved to New York since August 2022, and more than 31,200 immigrants have moved to Chicago.

Additionally, 16,000 immigrants came to Denver, 3,400 to Philadelphia, and 1,500 to Los Angeles. In total, 102,100 illegal immigrants left Texas.

The previous day, US President Joe Biden stated that with Congress's approval, he agreed to take tough measures against illegal immigration into the country.

In his speech, the head of state stated that “it is time to correct” the situation regarding the systematic violation of the state border in the south, where hundreds of thousands and millions of illegal immigrants come from Mexico.
