Afghanistan hopes to have good relations with all neighboring and regional countries, acting minister of information and culture of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, a member of the Taliban Cabinet, told Report.
As he said, all Afghani trade ports are open with neighbors. Iran, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan sent humanitarian aids to Afghanistan, the statements of all these countries about Afghanistan are very good.
In terms of gender equality, Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa noted that in general, women have the right to education, the right to work, but they must observe the Islamic hijab and make it easy for them to get to and from work.
“We admit that a number of our forces did not treat them [women] well, but already I said, women have the right of education and work based on Islamic Sharia,” he clarified.
He noted that if elections are held, women will participate, but accordance with the principles of Islamic law.
“It is too early to talk about elections. Officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) will decide about elections in the future. If we hold elections, it will undoubtedly be acceptable to the international community,” he commented about the postponed elections.
