Syrian government forces claim they have restored control over positions held by rebels in Idlib and on the outskirts of Aleppo, Report informs via the BBC.
"Our forces continue to repel a major offensive by armed groups," the Syrian army stated, adding that they "managed to regain control over certain positions."
Meanwhile, Al Jazeera, citing Syrian state media, reports that at least four people were killed as a result of Syrian rebel attacks on Aleppo. According to the information, rebels simultaneously intensified their offensive on government-controlled positions in northwestern Syria.

Syrian rebels have entered Syria's second-largest city Aleppo, detonating two car bombs and engaging in clashes with government forces on the western outskirts of the city.
Report informs via western media that Syrian opposition forces have entered the city for the first time since 2016, when they were pushed out of eastern districts following prolonged fighting.
According to information, several districts in the western part of the city, such as Halab Jedid, Hamdaniya, Al-Furqan, New Aleppo, and Salah ad-Din are already under opposition control.
