Syria will ultimately defeat terrorism no matter who supports or sponsors it, Syrian President Bashar Assad pledged, Report informs via TASS.
"President Assad stressed that terrorism doesn’t know any language other than the language of force and this is the language we will use to defeat and uproot it, whoever its supporters or sponsors might be," Assad’s office quoted him as saying during a phone call with Abkhazia’s acting President Badra Gunba.
The Syrian army command reported on November 28 that units of the Jabhat al-Nusra extremist group (outlawed in Russia) had staged a large-scale attack on Syria’s northern governorates the day prior. The terrorists attempted to seize a number of neighborhoods and military facilities and attacked the positions of government forces.
On November 30, the Syrian army said that it had to regroup when repelling the attack by terrorists on Aleppo to save the lives of civilians and its troops and is getting prepared for a counterattack.
According to Syria’s national television, the number of terrorisms eliminated "in the course of the three-day confrontation between the Syrian army and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists is nearing 1,000.
