Swedish gov’t to announce its biggest defense aid package to Ukraine

Sweden plans to transfer to Ukraine a record-breaking package of defense assistance for the country totaling 7.1 billion Swedish kronor (about $700 million), Report informs referring to RBC-Ukraine citing the Swedish publication Dagens Nyheter.

It is expected that the provision of the next batch of assistance to the Ukrainian side from Stockholm will be announced during press conferences on February 20 with the participation of Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Defense Minister Paul Johnson.

This aid package from Sweden for Ukraine will be the 15th in a row. Its contents are not disclosed, but it is indicated that the package will include military equipment and equipment from the Armed Forces of this Scandinavian country.
