Sweden has decided to purchase around 10 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) from US defense company Lockheed Martin, Report informs, citing Reuters.
Swedish Defence Minister Pal Jonson said the deal would be worth around 7 billion Swedish crowns ($728.8 million) and would also include ammunition.
Deliveries are expected to begin in 2027.
Ammunition for the systems will be produced in Sweden by Saab in cooperation with Lockheed Martin, Jonson said.
