Sweden to allocate $930,000 to independent media in Venezuela

The Swedish government has announced a financial aid package of 10 million kroner (approximately $930,000) to support freedom of speech and the independent press in Venezuela, Report informs via TASS.

This initiative aims to lay the groundwork for free elections in the country.

“We intend to assist independent journalists in reporting on the evolving situation in Venezuela and documenting the restrictions on civil rights and freedoms,” stated Johan Forssell, Minister of International Development Cooperation of Sweden.
