Strong storm in western France disrupts train services

The French National Railways Company has suspended train services on several routes in Normandy due to Storm Nelson, which hit the western regions of the country, Report informs referring to the BFMTV channel.

“Due to the storm, train traffic on several routes was disrupted this Thursday in Normandy, where there are routes on which traffic is suspended for the whole day,” the TV channel reports.

According to the TV channel, traffic on some routes in the neighboring regions of Brittany and Pays de la Loire was also disrupted or changed. The transport company urged passengers to check train schedules on relevant websites.

Due to the storm, at least six departments on the country’s Atlantic coast have introduced an orange weather alert. In some places, wind gusts reached 183 km per hour.
