"NATO expects all countries to meet their commitments to increase spending to at least 2% of GDP by 2024," NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said, Report informs, citing TASS.
"I expect that nine of NATO's 30 members to hit the benchmark of putting 2% of their GDP toward their defense this year, marking the seventh consecutive year that allied defense budgets increase overall, a trend that precedes Trump's tantrums," Stoltenberg said.
He stressed that the commitment must be fulfilled despite the pandemic.
