The assumption that the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) owes something to Yerevan is wrong and incompetent, State Duma deputy Yevgeny Fedorov said, Report informs via NEWS.ru.
According to him, the CSTO has no obligation to supply weapons to Armenia beyond the contracts and the capabilities of manufacturers.
He noted that Armenia should participate in Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, since it says that it is an ally of Moscow: “Yerevan needs to participate more actively in CSTO projects. Armenia does not do this, but at the same time it demands something else. It means that we have a wrong system of relations with this country."
According to Fedorov, Armenia illegally withdrew from the USSR from the point of view of international law, since it did not complete the procedure. For this reason, Yerevan has no legal grounds to be considered an ally of Moscow.
