Spain flooding death toll rises to 219

The death toll from last week's floods in the Valencian region have risen to 219, after 2 bodies that had been reported as missing in Spain's town of Letur near Albacete were found by police, Report informs referring to PowerOn.fm.

Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska confirmed the latest numbers, highlighting ongoing search operations in affected areas.

Officers are currently working in areas that were until recently inaccessible.

The minister went on to assure people that health protocols were being followed to prioritize public safety, noting a continuous monitoring process was in place in the wake of the disaster.
