South Korea’s Constitutional Court upholds president’s impeachment

The South Korean Constitutional Court unanimously upheld the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol, sealing his impeachment, according to a TASS reporter at the courtroom, Report informs via TASS.

On December 14, the parliament impeached the president after he introduced martial law in the country.

Lawmakers said the measure was imposed in violation of the constitution.

The president denied any wrongdoing.
