Sounds of explosions in Kyiv related to fire at infrastructure facility

The sounds of explosions in Kyiv are associated with a fire at a critical infrastructure facility, Oleksiy Kuleba, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, wrote on Telegram, Report informs referring to RBC-Ukraine.

“At about 6 a.m., the sounds of explosions were heard. A fire broke out at one of the critical infrastructure facilities. Relevant services are working at the site," Kuleba said.

The head of the Kyiv regional police department also said that, according to preliminary information, there were no casualties as a result of the fire.

In addition, Deputy Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Pavlyuk also stated that the sounds of explosions are not associated with any military operations.

“The explosions are not related to a threat from the air or the work of air defense, as well as to any military action. If there was a threat, you would have heard the alarm. The reason for the explosions will be reported separately,” Ukrayinska Pravda quoted him as saying.
