Singapore named best country for children

Singapore was recognized as the best place among 176 countries and territories of the world for the life and education of children.

Report informs citing the TASS that it is evidenced by the study conducted by the charitable organization Save The Children .

Sweden, Finland, Norway and Slovenia also ranked top three, sharing second and third places.

As noted in the report, Singapore scored the highest number of points on such an important indicator as the "childhood completion Index", which includes child mortality, including violent deaths, hunger, access to education, teenage pregnancy and marriage, the illegal use of child labor, forced displacement due to military conflicts.

Moreover, according to the study, the Republic has the best rate of access of minors to educational programs. It has the lowest dropout rate in the world, 0.1 per cent.
