Seven more Israeli soldiers have been killed in combat in south Lebanon, Israel's military has said, taking the total to eight, Report informs via Sky News.
They are among the first Israeli combat deaths to be reported from the region, with Hezbollah saying its fighters have clashed with the IDF in two border towns, Maroun Al Ras and Adaisseh.
Israeli media reported IDF infantry and tank units operating in southern Lebanon after the military sent thousands of additional troops and artillery to the border.
The Lebanese army said Israeli forces had advanced 400 meters across the border and withdrew "after a short period", its first confirmation of the incursion.
