Scholz calls for changes to UN Security Council

During his speech at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly held in New York, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that he is in favor of the reforms of the UN Security Council, the wider representation of Asian, African, and Latin American countries, Report informs via TASS.

He backed Secretary-General Antonio Guterres' comments about the need for reform of the UN Security Council.

Scholz said the UN must "reflect the reality of a multipolar world" and that has not been the case so far. "Nowhere is this more obvious than in the composition of the Security Council."
