Saudi Arabia opens skies to VistaJet as first foreign private jet for domestic flights

Saudi Arabia’s civil aviation authority said on Wednesday it has granted permission to VistaJet to conduct domestic flights, making it the first international private jet operator in the Kingdom, Report informs via Al Arabiya.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said on X that it issued VistaJet a Foreign Operator (On-Demand) Authorization, allowing the company to carry passengers within the Kingdom. The decision marks the first time a foreign charter operator has been granted such rights.

GACA said the move is part of wider efforts to expand air travel services in Saudi Arabia and to support the objectives of Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s reform plan aimed at diversifying the economy and boosting sectors such as tourism and aviation.
