The Russian Foreign Ministry has accused France of manipulating Armenia for its own geopolitical advantage.
According to Report, Maria Zakharova, the official spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, delivered a scathing critique of French policy in the Caucasus region.
"Paris is not guided by the interests of Armenia or its people," Zakharova stated emphatically. "Instead, France is attempting to use Yerevan as an instrument to achieve its own opportunistic goals."
Zakharova pointed out that France had numerous opportunities to contribute to the resolution of this conflict, most notably through the Minsk agreements.
"France had a million opportunities to resolve the conflict," she asserted. "One of them was the Minsk agreements. But later we learned that it was just a facade."
