Russian ambassador summoned to French Foreign Ministry

Russian Ambassador to France Alexey Meshkov has been summoned to the Foreign Ministry, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said on Twitter, Report informs.

The Foreign Minister said that the reason for summoning the ambassador to the office was the provocative speeches of the diplomatic mission on the Bucha issue.

Numerous war crimes - the killing of civilians, torture, rape and looting - were revealed in Bucha after Russian troops left the city on March 31.

Photos from the city showing the bodies of civilians in the liberated Bucha have spread around the world. The incident was condemned by activists, politicians, and cultural figures in Russia, Ukraine, and other countries. Several reputable publications and experts have described the incident as an act of genocide, and the perpetrators of the massacre have been compared to Nazi Germany's war criminals.
