Russia strikes five Ukrainian regions, causing casualties

Russian forces attacked Ukraine's Kharkiv, Kherson, Odesa, Sumy and Zaporizhzhia regions, killing one person and injuring 22 others, Report informs, citing Ukrainian media.

The heads of regional military administrations reported the casualties.

According to the press service of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, Russian drones, believed to be Geran-2, attacked Kharkiv and its suburbs overnight. Eight people were injured.

Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, said seven people were injured as a result of shelling.

In Odesa region, Russian forces carried out a massive overnight attack on the southern part of the region. Fires broke out, civilian infrastructure was damaged and two people were injured, said Oleh Kiper, head of the regional military administration.

Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, said Russian forces attacked civilian infrastructure in the region. Fires broke out as a result of the attack, killing one person and injuring two others.

According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Russian forces carried out more than 800 strikes on 43 settlements in the region over the past day. Three people were injured.
