Moscow is slapping sanctions on 61 Canadian citizens and is planning to expand the list of sanctions, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti that the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"In response to the constantly imposed anti-Russian sanctions by the official Ottawa, including a ban on entry to Canada and other discriminatory measures against Russian officials, military, experts and journalists, another group of Canadian citizens is included in the `stop list’ on an ongoing basis," the statement says.
The list published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs includes 61 people, including senior government officials, active and retired military personnel, representatives of the expert community, and leading media “directly involved in the development, substantiation and implementation of the Russophobic course of the ruling regime in Canada", their "entry into the Russian Federation is indefinitely prohibited".
In addition, according to TASS, Russia has included 29 Americans from among top leaders, businessmen, experts, and journalists, as well as the spouses of high-ranking officials, on the stop list, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. In particular, the list included Mark Zuckerberg and US Vice President Kamala Harris.
