Russia expands list of sanctions against UK

Russia has expanded its retaliatory sanctions against the UK, adding 23 people to the list, Report informs, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The ministry notes that in connection with London’s implementation of an anti-Russian political course, within which the mechanism of personal sanctions is actively used, a decision was made to expand the Russian “stop list” by including representatives of the military-political establishment, the journalistic corps and the scientific community of Great Britain.

The list of British citizens who are now prohibited from entering the Russian Federation includes the Chief of the Defense Staff of the British Armed Forces, Tony Radakin, who oversees the training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on British territory, the Chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee under the British government, Madeleine Alessandri, as well as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the defense company BAE Systems Cressida Hogg.

Personal restrictions are also introduced against employees of British political science centers involved in the collection and analysis of information to fight Russia, such as the Royal United Services Institute (Justin Bronk, Sidharth Kaushal, Nick Reynolds), the Henry Jackson Foundation (Alan Mendoza) and Civitas: Institute for the Study of Civil Society (Robert Clark).

The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that work on expanding the Russian “stop list” will continue.
