Putin thanks Erdogan over his participation in resolving grain problem

Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his participation in resolving the problem of supplying Ukrainian grain and transporting Russian products, Putin said d Report informs, referring to the Russian Press.

"The procurement process has been started. I want to express my gratitude to you for making a decision on the continuous supply of Russian food products and fertilizers to the world markets," said the Russian head of state.

He particularly emphasized the contribution of the President of Turkiye and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to the settlement of this problem.

According to him, this step played a vital role for many countries, primarily developing countries, and allowed them to escape a severe food crisis.

Putin emphasized its importance for countries facing food and water supply problems: "These decisions made with your participation are of great importance for all these countries. I thank you for that."
